On April 25, 2020, we lost an important part of our studio family. It is with a very heavy heart, that we let all of you know that the man we called Santa for the past 10 years has passed on. It has been a struggle to put the words together to write this as he held such a special place in our hearts.
Santa Chester was a truly magical person. Santa became part of our annual tradition of Santa Sessions in 2010. Many of you have been seeing him since his journey with us began. Kids have an idea of what Santa should look like, sound like, act like. Being Santa is more than a red suit, black boots, and a real white beard. Being Santa means that you should have a jolly laugh that resonates through your heart. Being Santa is a job that you must love and you must love kids, pets, adults, all of it. Santa Chester was all of those things and more. He had a special gift to make children giggle, whether it was offering sandwiches as Christmas gifts or getting kids to wish you a “Merry Cheese-mas”
He was such a trooper through all of our crazy ideas, taking each one of them in stride and adding his own level of magic to each of them.
Santa had a story for every single occasion and could talk your ear off.
Outside of our studio, Santa Chester, was a Santa for many other families and organizations. He was also a family man with kids and grandkids. During the warmer months, Santa became Tink, a jolly pirate and had a large family of pirates that he worked with regularly as well.
He will be sorely missed by us here in the studio.
Thank you Santa Chester for so many wonderful memories and pictures that help to keep your spirit alive.
